127 Yard Sale Craftiness

Hi all my crafty friends!
Today was a big day in my little world - I finally shopped at "the world's longest yard sale" after years of dreaming about it up north. Seriously, I think I've actually drooled on the map and one of my first thoughts when moving to Chattanooga was "it's less than a year til the 127 Sale". Yup, I'm a tad nerdy! Seriously though, if you have a bit of time, drive up Signal or Lookout Mountain for a well worth it adventure. You'll meet lots of interesting folks, there are tons of great finds, and so many amazing things to craft with and to inspire creativity. I was on maximum overload!
Happy hunting,
Michelle

Vintage Ribbon Medal

Here's a quick little post for a quick little project...
My friend Byrd got married this weekend, yay!! She's super fabulous and crafty and the pink twinkle lights at her wedding are my new fav. Amazing! Anyway, after I wrapped her gift it is was seriously lacking a little something. So I decided to add a quick ribbon medal out of vintage fabric. After a treasure hunt through my "special box of hoarded fabric" and my "special tin of collected buttons", I quickly sewed together some circles of fabric scraps and felt. After adding a button and some ribbon it made a pretty cute present accessory. So easy and it would probably make a great hair barrette, pin, or magnet.
Happy crafting,
Michelle
